Steve Shaw, Principal Architect of shaw architecture, p.a., in Santa Fe, New Mexico, has been in building construction for 30 years. With an undergraduate degree in English Literature, he worked as a builder in New Mexico before studying Architecture at the University of Washington, in Seattle. After school, he joined a large firm to work on commercial projects, practicing in Seattle and the San Francisco Bay. Then on to a small firm on the Monterey Bay of California for several years. His return to Santa Fe in 1994 opened the most recent chapter of this journey. As his studio has evolved, he has gained a great appreciation for the Act of Collaboration.
